Howl at the moon

When a full moon comes out, look out for Best Life Barb!  For whatever reason, every time there is a full moon out, I get a little crazy.

I have been extremely busy with Heartbeat Radio for Women.  Starting in May, we will be doing a new show that we are hoping gets national attention.  I think it is a one of a kind show for radio.  I will keep you posted on that. YOU JUST WAIT! It’s going to be so good!

Only a few more days until I see Baby Cameron!  I am just counting the hours!  I went to the UPS store yesterday and put all of my belongings that I wanted to fly with in a garbage bag, yes you heard me right!  I don’t have to travel with luggage, YAY! and that is going to be especially helpful because I am taking Spunky with me.

Jackie from the UPS store says it’s easiest to just put everything I need into a garbage back and they stick it in a box and voila!  no messing with luggage!   I stick my make up in my purse with a book and I’m all set!

OK…back to being crazy….it just seems like there are not enough hours in the day at times!  I need an assistant!  I could probably get a lot more done with an assistant!  Gee I wonder if I could get an intern?  That would be GREAT!

I have been a lot more active lately.  I have great news to report, I’ve lost a little weight and I think I’m finally going to be a lot more healthy.  As a matter of fact, I will be going to Zumba class tonight with my friend Traci.

So between interviews, and new things happening and getting healthy and going to see Baby Cameron and Easter coming upon us, no wonder I think I’m a little nuts…:)

And I’m loving every minute of it.

gotta go!

Best Life Barb and her best buddy Traci Brosman

Best Life Barb and her best buddy Traci Brosman

A lot accomplished.  That’s what this weekend was all about.  I’m starting a new journey and I had a lot of preparing to do.

At this time, I am not going to say anything more about the journey I am about to take, just keep your fingers crossed that I am triumphant!

It has been non-stop for me since JSA (John St. Augustine) has left.  I can’t stop the thoughts and ideas that keep popping into my head!  So much to do, so little time!  All the planets have been arranged and all the seeds have been planted, so it’s pretty much harvest time.  But I’m still planting seeds…I’ll never stop doing that.

Lately, I have been talking a lot with my new friend Liz from the Biggest Loser, Season 8.  I really like her!  She reminds me of me, kinda, and is that egotisical?  I don’t mean it to be!  I will be working with her and Tracey in a new venue, called The Roundtable very soon.  It’s going to be Liz, Tracey, Mary (our admin) and me in a show on the radio kinda like the VIEW.  More on that later…..

I’ll be visiting Baby Cameron in less than two weeks.  I can’t wait to see him!  He now can say NO and JUICE.  I love that boy so much!  I can’t wait to take more pictures of him.

OK:  So here goes:

House is pretty clean, laundry all done, bills have all been paid.  Show prep is done for the week. Grocery shopping done, and new sheets on on the bed.  Cat litter scooped, Spunky has pooped and now I’m planning a really big fattening meal tonight with my new friend Traci Brosman.  Let’s call it the Last Supper tonight…:)

all the BEST,

BEST LIFE BARB

Every Moment Matters…

029

Last week I spent a few of the best days of my life.  John St. Augustine came into town and made me feel like a million bucks.

John St. Augustine is the rare individual who can lift people up.   John touched so many people from Heartbeat Radio for Women, plus countless others.

On Thursday morning at 7 AM the playlist was playing, it is automatic.  The song, LIKE A ROCK, was playing with Bob Segar singing.  At this time, I figured I better start looking at John’s book, Every Moment Matters, because I hadn’t had a chance to read it yet.  I opened the book to the chapter, LIKE A ROCK.  I shivered.  I couldn’t believe that out of 188 pages, I picked that page while that song was playing.  It was reassuring to me….that God had sent John St. Augustine to help us with the radio station.  AND to help me become the best I can be.

Our radio shows together were an unparalleled success.  We bantered, laughed and even cried on air.  We tore the air waves up last Thursday and Friday.  I got to speak with former CNN news anchor Daryn Keegan.  John got to speak with psychic Linnea Star.

John signed books and we went out to eat at Carrabba’s, the Outback, and Silvano’s.  We even stopped at the I HOP for a toastmasters meeting.

We had a luncheon for John on Friday at it was phenomenal.  I got to introduce him, and told my story….and I got a standing ovation.  I never felt so loved in my life.

Everything was the way it was supposed to be.  It was beautiful.

One special place that touched John was the newly opened “God Cafe” in Leesburg.  The God Cafe doesn’t have prices on the menu, because it’s all donations.  They want you to give what you can for your breakfast or lunch.

On our last day together, John wanted to meet me at the God Cafe for breakfast.  He was holding a picture of Jesus when we met.  Not a little picture, but a big picture of Jesus in a frame.  He told me that when he left Michigan, something told him to take that picture out of his office and he didn’t know why.  Well, it was evident that he gave that picture to Gary of the God Cafe to hang up.  Gary was touched, as we all were.  Then John handed Gary a hundred dollar bill.  How right it all was.

So it was a few days of sunflowers and ladybugs, making new friends, dragonflies and the IHOP.  Me signing autographs and hearing John read chapters of his wonderful book.

New ideas and lots of great energy came with John St. Augustine and it’s fixing to stay for a while.  All that met him were touched by him and I couldn’t be happier that he came.

I wanted him to autograph my book and it took him a while to write and this is what he wrote:

Barb,  You inspire me to live my best life:  the world is a better place because you are here!  Love you, John.

And now it’s time to start writing my book…Epiphanies…by Best Life Barb of Heartbeat Radio for Women….also with Traci Brosman.

I have learned one thing by John St. Augustine’s visit:

EVERY MOMENT MATTERS!
