Radio interviews, Spunky and Swap Parties.

001

Today is Saturday, July 18th.  Forty eight hours ago, everything that has become familiar to me recently, was familiar. Now certain things, no certain people have changed.

Something is up with Joe.  I don’t know what, but it sure smells fishy.  You know the saying, if it looks like an elephant, and smells like an elephant, it usually is an elephant.  I am feeling sad for him.  He has such challenges and each time goes deeper and deeper.  I don’t think I have the patience or cash for him. Joe will never change.  Bless him.Enough said.

Last week at the radio station, I was busy.  Very busy.  Best Friend Barb does a great job of booking my interviews and I think I do maybe 15-20 per week.  That’s a lot!  I am so relieved that Time Out Tiffani will be on air starting on Monday.  Tiffani will be doing the 1PM to 5PM shift.  I wish her the best!

The other day, I bought Spunky a cage so when I leave he doesn’t pee in the house.  He does great and then as soon as I get home I take him out to pee.  Then as soon as he gets back in the house, he pees.  I am at the end of my rope with that one.  Thank goodness for tile floor and Nature’s Miracle.

Oh and today is Randy Luke’s birthday.  Twenty five years ago, I had my third son.  He was red and looked like a little Indian.  My little papoose who weighed in at 7 lb. 11 oz is now a big boy that is 6 foot 4 inches.  I adore him.

Yesterday I went to an old friends house to do a swap party.  No, it wasn’t that kind of swap party.  With this one, you bring a bunch of clothes, purses, shoes and jewelry that you don’t wear anymore.  You have about 10 people and they do the same….then you swap things for free!  Here’s the problem, all these girls were a size 0 to 8, maybe one or two was a size 12….well, no swapping for me!

Looking forward to Kiran being back this week,

Me and the Girls from Heartbeat Radio

Me and the Girls from Heartbeat Radio

Most people would be glad to be all alone.  Not me.  I like having people around.  Joe is working.  Sweet Lou is gone.  Barb is having a birthday party for her two year old and Charlotte is in Las Vegas.  Brian and Esther and Brodie and Sara and Randy and Rich are all busy.  Rachael is busy with Cameron at a birthday party.

This will be the last full week at the station without Kiran.  I am so looking forward to her coming, we need her here.  It’s like having a ship without her captain.  I have done my best to do the best I can to keep things together, but I don’t really want that job, if all be told.  I like doing my on air and doing promoting and that’s it.

I had to send my renters a certified letter.  They are very nice people, however, they deducted a half of month’s rent off of the rent check per their whim.  I can’t have that.  I have been very nice, however, business is business and I will not put up with that.  Hopefully that situation will work itself out.  I am prepared to do whatever I need to do though.

I am hoping that Best Friend Barb sticks around until we get someone great to replace her.  I love her and she has done a phenomenal job.  I wish she lived closer and her life was in order.

Tomorrow I am going to the bariatric doctor about getting the lap band.  Let’s face it, I am out of control when it comes to my weight and I’m sick of it.  Up and down, down and up, and at this point up and up.  Unless I get chosen by the Biggest Loser, my chances seem very slim of paring down to an acceptable weight.  And I haven’t even applied to Biggest Loser.  Maybe, just maybe this doctor can help me.

Spunky is still peeing.  I’m sick of it.  I am so particular when it comes to my house, thank goodness, he just pees on the tile.  An easy clean up.  But he is now taking another anti-depressant to control his anxiety.  Amazing.  I even get a dog that has anxiety.  It’s kind of funny though.

Joe will be up tonight.  He has been so sweet, we really have a nice thing going.  I must say, that man really loves me. Joe is happy to be around me and be part of my world.

ok next….

I’m going to work out on the WII.  It’s fun and I like it.  I bought a new controller so now I have two.  Life is grand, isn’t it?  And thhhhhhaaaattt’s all folks!!!!!

all the BEST,

Best Life Barb

Queen of the Prom…don’t rain on my PARADE!

Ok, so I wasn’t queen of the prom, but I was CLOSE…:) And it didn’t rain….thank goodness because I was the grand marshall for the Mount Dora parade yesterday!  I have to tell you, it was a blast.  I rode in a convertible and threw candy out to the crowd and talked (a lot) and I just had fun. I was totally in my element.  You know, I was born to ride in parades!!!

Randy Luke came in to see me, and Brian and Esther brought him.  Brodie and Sara missed me by a hair.  But we ended up having a partially good day together.

Our event this weekend was a disaster.  First of all the personalized fans that we ordered did not come in.  Then there was mass confusion at the stadium as far as the remote.  A mis-communication and  boy was it ever a mis-communication.  I am learning about how this business goes, slowly but surely.  That’s all I will say for now.

Tiffani looked adorable and was on time! YAY~ too bad we didn’t need her this time!  But it was great to see her and she got to meet Tony, Kiran’s Dad, who flew in JUST to help me.  He is wonderful.  I adore him.

I interviewed a few ball players….even Frank Viola’s son, Frankie…and oh is he a cute kid!  I would LOVE to introduce him to my daughter someday…:)  Frank and I could be in-laws…!!!  By the way, he was just great and I must also send a shout out to Bruce Erickson…he is an amazing guy!

It was a long, hot, day and the best thing about it was that it ended quickly!  Randy Luke and I did not watch the fireworks although my kids sure provided some earlier in the day. Don’t ask!!!

This morning Randy Luke and I went horseback riding to check out the Horse Haven in Lady Lake.  My goodness, I am certainly going to need a sports bra the next time I go!  I was bouncy as a new baby!

With Randy Luke’s birthday just around the corner, I decided to go ahead and get him his gift early…an “I” phone.  He was sooooooo happy.  I wish I could be around him more.  We are so good together.

So now I have to check my schedule for next week and get prepared.  OH almost forgot to tell you…I booked my flight to go to PA for a few days to see my grandbaby, Cameron.  Rachael sent me pictures of him yesterday…he was adorable!  I miss him so much.

Joe has been working which is just what he needs.  We keep in touch over the phone.  He helped me move last week, thanks so much, JOE!  Although this place isn’t the best….it’s very close to the studio and I can be there in literally SIX minutes!

I have been missing my Loni a lot lately.  I just have to have faith that God is taking care of her for me.  I can’t wait until her 18th birthday cause I am going to find her and her father can’t say a word.

Ok, I have to go, lots of stuff to do to get ready for the upcoming week.  Stay tuned…and our LIVESTREAM is up and working so you have no excuse not to listen….www.heartbeatradiousa.com.

all the BEST,

BLB
